The Falcon Lake Hotel and Prairie-Sky Wireless are working together along with Environment Canada to bring in a weather radio system to Falcon Lake and the surrounding area. The system will constantly transmit up to the minute forecasts, current weather and weather warnings. This is a welcome system to the area and will give cottagers and residents alike access to important weather information. While the details are still being worked out, the system should be operational this summer. Stay tuned for more information as it comes along. Anyone wishing to make use of the new system should purchase a weather radio. They are available at most electronics stores such as The Source.
